Associate Pastor for Operational MinistriesKy Weekley came to be with Grace Covenant in September of 2000 and quickly became involved in the operational focus of the congregation. Holding a Master of Divinity from Dubuque Theological Seminary and having pursued Doctor of Ministries studies at San Francisco Theological Seminary, Ky brings experience as both a solo pastor and an Associate Pastor in congregations ranging from 250 to 2,250. Ky and his wife, Tracy Cowles, have spent nearly 30 years in Kansas City where she studied medicine and has a medical practice. The teams and areas of work that Ky staffs include: Personnel, Facilities, Finance, Stewardship, and Endowment. Associate Pastor for Congregational Ministries
Kimberly Young ("Kimby") joined the Grace Covenant staff in September of 2003. Kimby holds Masters degrees in Christian Education and Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia and a Doctor of Ministry in Religious Education from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Kimby served previously for 13 years at Westminster Presbyterian in Des Moines, Iowa. Kimby is a "preacher's kid" and a lifelong Presbyterian.
Kimby works with the program ministries at Grace Covenant helping people to connect gifts and passions, interests and information. Kimby works with adult education and small group ministries and supervises and supports the directors of children's and youth ministries. After the departure of our Senior and Founding Pastor, Jay McKell, in January of 2010, an Interim Pastor has not yet been identified.
