Why should we give? What are some needs that must be met? How does the church manage finances?

These are just some of the questions that might be appropriately asked of a congregation's Stewardship emphasis. Over the past three years we have been spending a lot of time considering that first question and what it is that we mean by the word "Stewardship." As is customary with lots of congregations, we used to focus most intently on what the budget needs were going to be for the next year as a reason and conclusion for our stewardship efforts. Now we are growing with the idea of what it might mean to think of Stewardship in terms of what God has given us and how we wish to honor that grace by our response!

"Faith-based Giving - Living a Balanced Life - Our Response to God" has become the theme of our educational efforts over these last three years with remarkable accomplishments! Many folks have offered testimony to how this new approach has changed their lives, their priorities, their giving! As with most new habits it's a work in progress, but our progress in funding our ministry and mission is definitely growing! For that we give our thanks to God!
