Homeless For A Night

Young people have a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of their homeless peers. Homeless For A Night is a safe, fun sleep-out that heightens awareness of homelessness.

We begin Friday, November 14, at 6pm, in GCPC’s Heartland Hall and conclude the next morning at 8am. Weather permitting, youth will sleep in cardboard boxes in our church parking lot. Dinner is out of a can or hot dogs grilled on a stick. Various programming will include activities related to homelessness.

All Grace Covenant youth and guests from 6th through 12th grade and any of their friends are encouraged to participate and welcomed with open arms. The more the better!

We will collect packages of toilet paper from all who attend as well as from our congregation to donate to Uplift, an organization serving the homeless in KC.

Registration forms with more information are available on the youth downloads page of www.GCPC.org. Contact Miles McDonald, Director of Youth Ministries, or Shelby Voigt, Youth Intern at 913-345-1256 with questions.
