Music

"Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,

tune my heart to sing Thy grace."

This beloved hymn text by Robert Robinson has become a theme for members of the music ministry at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. We believe the development, sharing, and purpose of musical gifts within the church are somewhat different from the classroom or concert hall. In the classroom or concert hall, music education and the development of musicians is for the purpose of excellence in performance and the expression of the arts. While the church also embraces those disciplines, we do them for a different purpose: to express our faith and engage in the worship of God. The best musical offering within the church is one which comes from a "heart tuned to sing . . . or play . . . or dance . . . God's grace."
