Grace in Action is an Outreach Volunteer Program which is providing opportunities for our congregation and visitors to help others in our community. We pick one Saturday morning each quarter where volunteers can participate in one of the volunteer activities. These activities vary, so there is usually something for everyone. It is a great hands on opportunity to get involved and help our community, and the activities run approximately three hours.

How it Works

There are three way to sign up to join in the fun and fellowship!

1. Sign up before or after Sunday services in Heartland Hall.
2. Sign up on sheets out on the wall outside the kitchen.

Then, meet at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Heartland Hall on your assigned day and meeting time. It is as easy as that! Volunteers can carpool or follow one another to the event or activity site.

Volunteer at Harvesters
Harvesters provides food to nearly 60,000 hungry people in our community each week.  Join us during Harvesters’ Souper Bowl Week of Caring to help sort and repackage donations at their warehouse.  Harvesters will also provide each volunteer with a bowl of soup.

Meet at Grace Covenant, Heartland Hall at 10:00 a.m.
Activity runs from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Location: 3801 Topping, KCMO
Volunteers must be at least six years old.
Children need adult supervision.

Volunteer to make Valentines for Our Military
Last year, this event was such a blessing for the Veterans that received our homemade valentines that this year we are making valentines that will be sent to our military personnel serving overseas.  Join us in spreading the love of the Holiday and show our support for our armed forces.

Meet at 10:00 a.m.
Activity runs from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: Grace Covenant, Heartland Hall
All ages are welcome.
Children need adult supervision.

Volunteer to Assemble Care Kits for Haiti
Join us in assembling care kits for the people devasted by the earthquake in Haiti.  These kits will be distributed  in Haiti by Heart to Heart International.
