Sunday Morning Classes

Each Sunday morning from September through May, we have classes for all ages at 9:45 a.m.

6th and 7th Graders alternate each year studying the Old and New Testaments.  This class is very interactive and uses the natural competitive nature of our students to help them develop an understanding of the Bible so that they can better understand the God we worship.

8th Graders meet in the Labyrinth room and cover topics related to the basics of our faith concurrent with their Confirmation year.  This class is a perfect place to explore the hard questions we all have about God and life.

9th through 12th Graders study a variety of topics pertaining to living their faith and exploring topics and issues through the eyes of a Christian.  We don’t tell our students how to think but together work towards discernment and understanding of life’s hard questions and how to be disciples of Christ in this time and place.

Youth Group: 6th - 12th Graders

Youth Group meets every Sunday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. starting with a meal for $3.  It offers a great way to bond with other students who are seeking to live as God intends. Activities are balanced between fun, fellowship events, service opportunities, worship, and discipleship. One week we may play broomball or laser tag, the next we may put our faith into action through service. Often we divide the Middle School and Senior High youth to explore how faith intersects with life and society as we know it.  With ever-changing activities, youth group at Grace Covenant is an active and loving environment that helps nurture our youth in real-life situations. Guests and friends are always welcome.

Confirmation

Confirmation is a year of spiritual reflection open to all youth 8th grade and older. Our students are encouraged to ask questions and explore their faith.   At the end of the year they can make an educated decision as to whether they wish to become members of the church. Confirmation youth are divided into small groups with 4-6 other students and 2 adult mentors. These small groups meet every other week for one hour and incorporate 16 classes, 2 alternate worship experiences, 2 retreats, 2 outreach projects, and 1 amazing worship celebration honoring them on Pentecost Sunday.
